U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) today made the following statement regarding the U.S. House of Representatives' Select Committee on Benghazi's report:
"Multiple investigations into the murderers of four Americans in Benghazi now all find the administration was, at best, incompetent and, at worst, deceptive," Roberts said. "We must now focus our efforts on restoring the bond to leave no man behind. Our nation was built upon this bond. Americans who risk their lives in service to our nation must believe that we will come to their aid if they are in trouble. We must repair the damage the Obama administration has done to this fundamental American tenet. It makes a difference to our national security and to every American in service to our nation. I am grateful Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) brought strong leadership to the Committee and urge Kansans to read the report and its recommendations for the future."
Senator Roberts is a former Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and is the senior Marine in the U.S. Congress.
