Stutzman Supports Funding for National Defense

Today, Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) released the following statement on House passage of H.R. 5293, the Department of Defense appropriations bill for FY 2017:

Today, I was proud to support robust funding for our national defense, a pay raise for our men and women in uniform, and assistance for our allies around the world. By providing for additional active and reserve forces and investing in upgraded equipment, this bill ensures we have the best trained and most prepared fighting force to take on our enemies. We were even able to reject the Administration's troop reductions while increasing spending for readiness and modernization. Now it is imperative that we join together across the aisle and even down Pennsylvania Avenue to get this funding signed in to law and show the world our commitment to defending the land of the free and home of the brave.
