Portman Flips Again- Says His Position On Gun Sales To Terrorists "Unchanged"

It's been less than 24 hours since Senator Portman's disastrous press conference call where he faced a barrage of questions about his vote against stopping suspected terrorists from buying guns and "seemed confused" about his position, but now Portman has flipped again -- telling the New York Times today that his position is "unchanged" and that he still opposes banning terrorists from buying guns.

In case your head is spinning from Portman's D.C. double-talk, here's a quick recap:

In 2015 "Portman opposed an amendment introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., which would allow the U.S. Attorney General to block the sale or transfer of a gun or explosive to a suspected or known terrorist."

Yesterday Portman claimed he had changed his position, but "seemed confused" and by the end of the call he was already backtracking -- refusing to say if he would vote to stop stop terrorists from buying guns in the Senate.

Today, Portman has flipped back again, stating that his opposition to blocking terrorists from buying weapons is "unchanged."
