Issue Position: Strengthening Our Communities

Issue Position

As Washington and Sacramento started playing a larger role in our daily lives through increased regulation and taxation, citizens have increasingly ceded their responsibilities to politicians who have abused and mismanaged that power. I believe it's time that Sacramento sends much of its power and money back to our local communities who are the most invested in making their neighborhoods better, and know best how to solve the unique challenges facing each of them. I promise that I will approach every piece of legislation by first asking whether the communities impacted can best solve this problem, and if so, what the State of California can do to best assist them in creating those solutions.
