United States Declaration of Independence. "…and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are life…"

Our Declaration of Independence recognizes as a "self-evident" truth that all Americans have a right to life. To me, this is foundational and obviously essential to a free society. Defining when life begins is not an easy task for many and has proven difficult -- but to have any practical meaning, it must be defined. I still hold that life begins at conception and I will defend the life of the pre-born. I am unequivocally pro-life.
