As a farmer, I see the impacts of climate change every day. I believe there are great opportunities for Vermont to capitalize on renewable technologies that boost our rural economy and bring high-paying jobs to the state. Good farming techniques can capture carbon and deposit it into our soil, and our forests can also sequester carbon and reduce the threat of climate change. As Lieutenant Governor, I will bring a diverse set of voices to the table to address our environmental crisis. Protecting our planet for future generations has to be a priority and I know that together, we can develop innovative solutions to expand our economy and speed up the transition to renewable energy.
