There are many problems with the student loan programs. Student loans now are larger than credit card debt. They cannot be discharged by bankrupcy. The average debt is $30,000. This program has created a demand for education that is causing higher tuition. Higher tuition means more loans. Because of the poor job market, the unemployment rate is 50% for college grads. This bubble in education tuition could create a crisis similar to the housing bubble and crisis.

I want to make education affordable again. Students should not have to mortgage their future job.
