Issues: Veterans Health and Health Care
On May 24 Representative Steve Knight (CA-25) made the following statement responding to Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald's testimony regarding wait times at VA facilities:
"Yesterday the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Robert McDonald, compared the excessive wait times that our veterans have to endure to receive care at the VA to long lines at Disneyland. This comment exemplifies the problem with the mindset of senior leadership at the VA. Our veterans deserve the quality care and service they have earned, and that starts with reducing the wait times to get in a VA facility. "
