Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) released the following statement on the recent decision of the Supreme Court's 4-4 decision in United States v. Texas, which upheld the lower court's decision that the President's use of executive action to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants was unconstitutional:

"The Supreme Court's ruling reaffirms our Constitution. The laws are written by Congress, not by the President. This SCOTUS decision should be a reminder to the President and his Administration that he must abide by the Constitution and respect the separation of powers that was clearly established by our Founding Fathers."
