Wake County's economy has begun to come around. At its height during Governor Perdue's tenure Unemployment across the state was at 11.4 %. In the next four years it dropped to 6.5%. Businesses in Wake County need more relief from excessive taxes and burdensome regulations. I have sponsored a bill that will lead to support for small and medium manufacturers and recyclers. Finally, our elected leaders need to go out and recruit new businesses to relocate to Wake County. I am committed to doing just that.
