Lake Norden To Be Capital For A Day

Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced today that Lake Norden has been chosen to be South Dakota's Capital for a Day on Thursday, July 28.

"I look forward to the Lake Norden event, and thank community leaders for offering to host it," Gov. Daugaard said. "It's an excellent opportunity for me to get better acquainted with residents and the issues affecting the Lake Norden area."

The Governor's activities for the day will include a main street walk, business tours around town, and a community social and coffee hour. The Governor will also hold a roundtable lunch for community leaders to meet and discuss the needs of the city.

"We are honored Gov. Daugaard selected Lake Norden as Capital for a Day," said Lake Norden Mayor Jason Aho. "Anytime we can bring the Governor into our community to provide residents and businesses owners the opportunity to discuss important issues is a good thing."
