I own three guns. I enjoy shooting. The second amendment affords me this right.
Background checks are not attacks on the second amendment. Proficiency in handling your weapon is not an attack on the second amendment.
Ronald Reagan thought banning military-style weapons amongst the public was a good idea. Wyatt Earp enforced gun control in Tombstone. And the Houston Chief of Police thinks that open-carry is dangerous for Houston.
These are not dangerous liberal ideas, they are common sense!
