"The Second Amendment is not optional, it's Constitutional. I will keep fighting to protect every American's Constitutional rights and ensure the government does not infringe on these foundational freedoms."

It's a right for a reason. I will continue support and defend the constitutionally protected rights of the American people to keep and bear arms.

"A" rating from the National Rifle Association and Member of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus.

The U.N. must not encroach on Americans' rights. No funding for the UN Arms Trade Treaty -- a treaty that raises deep concerns about the U.N.'s encroachment on our nation's sovereignty to act within the parameters of the Second Amendment (Read H.Con.Res23).

Stop the Administration from:

*Executive overreach. I remain deeply concerned with an Administration that repeatedly uses executive actions to circumvent both the Constitution and the will of the people it governs

*Restricting ammunition. I've supported efforts to prohibit the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms from restricting the sale of M855 green tip ammunition used by many sportsmen and hunters.

*Targeting firearms manufacturers and dealers. I've worked on legislation to stop the Administration from using "Operation Choke Point" (or any similar programs) to target the firearm industry. (Read H.R. 1413).

Protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners. This includes strengthening federal protections for traveling with firearms and creating a national standard by which nonresidents of a state may carry concealed firearms in the state and across state lines. (Read H.R. 131).

Allow concealed carry reciprocity. Law-abiding Americans with concealed carry permits in their home states should be able to legally bring their firearms into any other state with concealed carry laws. (Read H.R. 986).

Expanding access for hunting, fishing, and shooting on federal lands. Sportsmen and women should be able to enjoy hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting on federal land. (Read H.R. 528).
