Sam Graves Responds to President's FY17 Budget

Statement

Date: Feb. 9, 2016
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Representative Sam Graves issued the following statement in response to the President's FY17 budget proposal, which was released this morning. The budget spends a record $4.1 trillion, and would increase taxes on Americans by $2.6 trillion over the next decade.

"The President clearly had no interest in offering realistic solutions to this country's fiscal problems," Rep. Graves said. "Record levels of spending and trillions of dollars in new taxes is not a serious plan for America's future, and I'm glad this is President Obama's last budget proposal."
