Congressman Billy Long (MO-7) voted to reauthorize the U.S. Export-Import Bank today (Ex-Im Bank) in the House of Representatives. H.R. 3611, "The Export-Import Bank Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2015," will extend the banks charter through September 30, 2019, and continue as an important booster of American export companies and the jobs they support.

"Ex-Im Bank is one of the few government programs that not only pays for itself, but gives taxpayers a return on investments by depositing a surplus to the U.S. Treasury." said Rep. Long. "From stainless steel manufacturers to limousine builders, the bank supported more than 9,000 jobs at more than 125 companies here in Missouri in FY 2014, and more than 1 million private sector jobs across America in the past six years. This legislation makes much needed reforms to Ex-Im bank that ensures the security of our leadership in global markets and brings economic stability for hard-working Americans at home."
