U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) issued the following statement today after President Obama announced the United States will reject the Keystone XL Pipeline:

"The science is clear -- climate change is a grave, growing threat that requires immediate, robust action. Today's decision by the President to reject the Keystone pipeline is a victory for our environment, economy, and our future as we work to mitigate climate change's devastating impacts and prevent future, escalating harm. This action strengthens America's commitment to securing a clean, renewable energy economy and protecting our climate, environment and future generations."
