The main reason I'm running for Congress is that Washington has become far too warlike & destructive during my lifetime. It's not just the GOP but both major parties. We use force too often and make far too many enemies. An aggressive foreign policy and a large standing army would have horrified the founders of our country.
I consider George W. Bush and Dick Cheney the two worst war criminals alive today for invading Iraq in 2003 and causing the premature deaths of approximately 600,000 to one million Iraqis, most of them innocent civilians. The Christian "Just War Theory" condemns Washinton's invasion as an unjust war, and the UN Charter condemns Bush and Cheney as aggressors. International aggression was the crime for which several high-ranking German & Japanese officials were executed after World War 2. America must not commit the same crimes the original Axis of Evil committed 75 years ago.
If and when I'm elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, I hope to join the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, where I will seek to initiate a complete review and overhaul of our foreign policies. We should tread most carefully in regions of the world where there are ongoing wars or potential outbreaks of war.
An example of how dysfunctional our foreign policy elites have become, including Andy Barr (R), is the fact that Washington has been supporting Al-Qaeda in Syria for the last 4 or 5 years.
Andy Barr and his whole immoral party simply don't care that Washington has been supporting the group that attacked us on 9-11. He needs to start paying a political price for being 100% ignorant about foreign policy.
