Bilirakis Statement on Keystone XL Pipeline Rejection

Statement

Date: Nov. 6, 2015
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Oil and Gas Trade

Today, President Obama officially rejected construction of the Keystone Pipeline. Over the course of seven years, Congress has voted several times to allow for construction of the pipeline. Congressman Gus Biliraks (R-FL) released the following statement:

"The President's rejection of the Keystone Pipeline, though not entirely surprising, is extremely disappointing. This pipeline would lower energy costs, create more American jobs, and provide our nation with greater energy security. This decision is par for the course for this administration which has been one disappointment after another. Americans deserve so much better."
