Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) voted to end the filibuster on the resolution of disapproval of the President's nuclear deal with Iran:
"Today's vote is a failure of leadership in American diplomacy. The majority of Americans and many Nevadans saw exactly what I saw in this deal: a long list of concessions by the U.S. and few, if any, sacrifices from Iran. This agreement does nothing to effectively eliminate Iran's nuclear program, nor will it do anything to help ensure the safety of Americans or our allies in the Middle East, including Israel," said Senator Heller.
Heller continued, "I remain concerned by continued anti-Israel and anti-America rants from Iran's president and supreme leader. This rhetoric, as well as the billions of dollars that would be released to Iran under this agreement, poses a security risk for our nation, Israel, and the Middle East.
"I could not be more disappointed in my colleagues who voted to secure the President's foreign policy legacy at the expense of our national security."
