This forum will be an excellent opportunity for constituents to share their views on Social Security and contribute to the ongoing national debate over its future.
Said Cleaver, "The plan to privatize Social Security is one that will affect every American, and President Bush has proposed major changes to the system that deeply concern me. I have spoken with people at home in our community, many of whom have expressed concerns about the future of Social Security and how privatizing the program will affect them."
"That is why I am holding this town hall meeting that will provide an opportunity for me to answer questions and share information about the proposals and how they would affect Americans of all ages in an open forum."
