Last week there was a string of economic development announcements in Tennessee that are expected to create a total of nearly 1,200 jobs in the state.

The week marked announcements of new investments by Advanced Munitions International in Alcoa, Intermedix in Nashville, Morgan Olson in Loudon and Regal Entertainment Group in Knoxville.

"This was a great week for Tennessee in terms of investment and job creation, including fields that involve advanced technology," Haslam said. "These announcements speak to our ability to attract quality jobs to Tennessee and increase our potential to attract even more."
