Bipartisan Legislation Keeps Faith With Veterans, Families, and Troops

Statement

Date: Nov. 5, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Minnesota Congressman John Kline issued the following statement today after supporting the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1356), bipartisan legislation which serves as the budgetary blueprint for the Pentagon. The new NDAA that passed the House today reflects the spending levels in the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015:

"As a nation, we prepare to pause next week for Veterans Day, the most important thing Congress can do is pass a reform-centered national defense bill that keeps faith with our veterans and their families, and provides our troops with the resources necessary to accomplish their missions. The President should stop the political games and join an overwhelming majority of Republicans and Democrats in Congress and sign this bill to ensure those who have served or are serving have what they need."
