Rep. Trott Talks Jobs During Visits to Small Businesses in Northville

Statement

Date: July 17, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Representative Dave Trott (MI-11) today visited businesses in downtown Northville to discuss ideas on how to create more jobs and opportunities in Southeast Michigan.

"Today's discussion in Northville was a great opportunity to hear directly from our local job providers on how Washington needs to advance solutions that grow the economy. It is time that Washington starts listening to the ideas of the hard-working citizens instead of just pushing more big-government answers. Small businesses like the ones we visited today are the engine of Michigan's economy and I am committed to helping them succeed and hire more employees," said Rep. Trott, a lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan who created 1,800 jobs during his career.

During the downtown tour in Northville, Rep. Trott visited local businesses including the Village Workshop, Pear-aphernalia, the Bees Knees, Celebrity Pet Company, and the Garage. During the tour, Rep. Trott was joined by Northville Mayor Chris Johnson and DDA Director Lori Ward.
