Boozman Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood

U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) today voted in favor of moving legislation forward that would defund Planned Parenthood and redirect money for the organization to other women's health care services.

"It's time to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood. This organization shows a clear disregard for the sanctity of life. Hardworking taxpayers should not be footing the bill for these inhumane practices. I am appalled by the actions described in the recently released videos and will continue to defend the rights of the unborn," Boozman said.

In an interview on Fox Business with Neil Cavuto today, Boozman discussed his support for Senate action to defund Planned Parenthood.

Following the release of videos documenting Planned Parenthood's role in the harvesting of organs from unborn babies, Boozman helped introduce legislation to pull federal funding from the organization. He also called for an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice into the legality of Planned Parenthood's practices.
