Issue Position: Fight Federal Overreach

Issue Position

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. - 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

From Obamacare to Common Core, amnesty for illegals to unconstitutional gun control - the federal government has encroached on our liberty.

As Attorney General, Jeff Landry will preserve our state's rights by fighting to limit the power of the federal government to those clearly enumerated by the Constitution of the United States.

Jeff will do all he can to give you freedom in your healthcare choices, remove bureaucrats from medical decisions that you and your doctor should make, and create a free market environment that drives competition up and prices down.

Jeff will do all he can to empower our students, speak up for our parents, and protect our teachers from big government strangleholds. Jeff will fight efforts from Washington that try to usurp local control, mandate federal standards, or limit school choice.

Jeff will do all he can to advance the cause of freedom by keeping our borders secure and challenging any executive action that disregards the separation of governmental powers. And Jeff will protect our right to keep and bear arms.
