Issue Position

When I took the oath to honor and defend the U.S. Constitution, I meant the entire Constitution -- including the Second Amendment. I've upheld that promise, and I am committed to ensure the federal government doesn't pass laws to infringe on a citizen's right to keep and bear arms.

I recognize that gun violence is a real problem. Recent tragedies have been devastating for those who we lost, their families, their communities, and for America as a whole. However, taking Constitutional rights away from law-abiding citizens is not the answer. Our Constitution is not the problem -- criminals are.

I assure you that I will continue to be a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and will work to ensure that your constitutional rights to protect yourself and your family are not infringed by the government. As a proud lifetime member of the NRA, this is a personal issue for me.
