Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D - Los Angeles), released the following statement on Super Typhoon Soudelor:

"My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Saipan, Taiwan, China and all those affected by this devastating storm. While it is fortunate that so few lives were lost, our sympathies are with those who lost loved ones, homes and businesses."

"Many in the Taiwanese-American community here in the United States are still waiting to hear on the status from family and friends affected by this storm. We stand with you in support during this uncertain time and hope for good news."
