Hoeven Honors Vietnam Veterans at Fargo Air Museum Vietnam Memorial Opening Ceremony

Senator John Hoeven today honored the state's Vietnam veterans at the opening ceremony of the Fargo Air Museum's Vietnam Memorial Exhibit. The senator paid tribute to the state's Vietnam veterans, especially the nearly 200 North Dakota service members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the war.

"Today we pay tribute and remember the dedicated service of the men and women in uniform who served our nation during the Vietnam War," Hoeven said. "This exhibit is a fitting way to honor their service and sacrifices, and will serve as a reminder of the untold hardships that our servicemen and women endured to secure the blessings of liberty that have made our country a beacon of hope for people around the globe. As we mark the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, our country has not forgotten what these brave men and women have done to fight for our way of life."

The Vietnam Memorial Exhibit features Vietnam era-specific aircraft and vehicles, a traveling memorial wall and artwork, and will be open from May 16- June 1. Admission to the exhibit is free of charge for Vietnam veterans.
