Heitkamp Announces Federal Funding to Support Economic Development in Northeastern North Dakota

U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp today announced $61,000 in federal funding to the Red River Regional Council to help support economic development and job creation efforts in northeastern North Dakota.
"With rapid population growth throughout North Dakota, we have to make sure all our state's communities have the resources and tools they need to thrive," said Heitkamp. "These funds will play an important role in encouraging private capital investment in northeastern North Dakota, helping to create jobs and enabling the region to plan its economic development into the future."
The funds are made available through the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration.
