PROCLAMATION
LEGAL ASSISTANT DAY
JUNE 23, 2005

WHEREAS, legal assistants and paralegals are an integral part of the legal community, contributing to the quality and effectiveness of legal services provided to the citizens of North Dakota; and
WHEREAS, legal assistants and paralegals use their skills and expertise to make vital contributions to the delivery of legal services and to the advancement of the profession; and
WHEREAS, the Western Dakota Association of Legal Assistants and the Red River Valley Paralegal Association are working to provide continuing education and professional development to legal assistants and paralegals throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, legal assistants are making important contributions in their profession and workplace and North Dakotans are encouraged to recognize the significant role they play in the legal process of our state and nation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim June 23, 2005, LEGAL ASSISTANT DAY in the state of North Dakota.
