Rothfus Votes to Help Small businesses and Reduce Overregulation

Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement in support of H.R. 427, the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act.

"One of the top complaints I hear from mom and pop shops in Western PA is how over-regulation from Washington is hurting their business," remarked Congressman Rothfus. "They do not believe they have any say when a new regulation comes out of Washington. It's high time we do more to protect jobs for working families. The REINS Act restores to the people the right to have their representative have a say in how we are governed."

Congressman Rothfus continued, "Since the beginning of this year, unaccountable federal bureaucrats added more than 150 regulations with total costs exceeding $60 billion. This bill provides commonsense reform to working families and small businesses."
