Governor Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff Monday in honor of a Kentucky State Police trooper killed in the line of duty.
Eric Chrisman was responding to a complaint of a reckless driver on June 23 when he was involved in a fatal collision.
"Jane and I are deeply saddened by Trooper Chrisman's death, and we offer our sincerest condolences to the family," Gov. Beshear said.
Chrisman, of Lawrenceburg, graduated from the state police training academy in January and was assigned to Lyon County, in the Post 1 District.
Services for Trooper Chrisman will be held June 29 at 11 a.m. Eastern time at Ninevah Christian Church, 1195 Ninevah Road in Lawrenceburg. Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute.
