The finance portion includes funding for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Trunk Highway Fund), the County State-Aid Highway (CSAH) and Municipal State-Aid Street (MSAS) systems funded by the gas tax and license tabs, and the divisions of the Department of Public Safety supported through the Trunk Highway Fund, which include the State Patrol and Driver and Vehicle Services (driver licenses and vehicle registration). Metro Transit and Greater Minnesota transit funding and policy issues are also covered. Policy jurisdiction includes traffic safety, vehicle, driver license, road weight restriction and DUI issues.
