Become a Vote Smart Member

Members are the people who back up the thousands of volunteers, interns and staff who have made Vote Smart possible. They receive free newsletters, Voter’s Self Defense Manuals and updates of our progress and the behavior of their representatives. Learn more about what it means to be a Vote Smart Member.

Leave a Legacy: Many of our members have chosen as their way of helping Vote Smart to leave a living gift to their children and all future Americans. Call our office at 406-859-8683, email, or see this page for more information.

Intern or Volunteer

Over 8000 students and members have interned or volunteered at our Vote Smart offices, some returning again and again to enjoy this extraordinary opportunity with extraordinary people. Student interns work for 10 weeks and usually receive credits toward graduation at their college or university while member volunteers put in 2 weeks at our beautiful Great Divide Ranch research facility in the Montana Rockies.
