NoCandidate Answer3) Do you support the elimination of the federal estate tax?
No4) Do you support requiring the federal budget to be balanced each year?
YesCandidate Answer5) Do you support using government funds in an effort to stimulate and improve the economy?
6) Other or expanded principles

I don't support elimination of the fedl estate tax as generally only upper income families must pay this-----however, I do realize that families with wealth mainly in large holdings of farm land may not have ready cash-on-hand so I would support some sort of "carve-out" for them, to maintain farmland ownership in their hands for agricultural use, & not require it to be sold (which is often for real estate development) & certainly not require it to be sold at auction, for below-market prices.

f) Other or expanded principles

I support govt-supported student loans----& want to caution students against private student loans which cannot be discharged in bankruptcy (per Suze Orman on CNBC weekly cable show).
Testing is part of education, but I support effective assistance to teachers when a student group performs poorly----a careful analysis should be undertaken to determine factors, such as poor attendance by either the teacher or the pupil, & why.

I oppose off-shore "slant-drilling" & chemical & explosive "fracking" in the Great Lakes----this sort of exploitation has contaminated drinking water in PA & NY states so that the tap water for drinking in some areas now catches fire if a match is held to it.

Noi) Do you support the United States' involvement in free trade agreements?
j) Other or expanded principles

I am not sure that we are able to define the security interests of the US & we only seem to
worsen situations abroad thru some of our programs so far-----unfortunately we did not
frame NAFTA is a way to protect our workers better & many jobs have been lost as a consequence;
I consistently supported candidates who said NO to Nafta in 1992.

Yesb) Do you support allowing openly-gay men and women to serve in the United States military?
Yesc) Do you support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research?
Nod) Should the federal government end affirmative action programs?
e) Other or expanded principles

I'm encouraged to hear that use of nasal stem cells from an ill patient may result in improvement in some conditions, but I find it troubling that a court has now enjoined stem cell research from continuing as projects already begun will probably be damaged. However, for the sake of patients who have hoped to benefit from this research, other countries will continue stem cell research which may benefit them.

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.

Stop the continued bloating of the national debt, by winding down our overseas military involvements by decreasing Supplemental funding that goes directly on the natl debt & is not
a part of the annual natl Defense budget. Establish a required waiting period of at least several years between the time that Members of Congress leave office, & the time when they can accept employment as corporate lobbyists.
Legislative Priorities -
1) Communicate w/voters by blog & commit to support of 72 hr publication of bills before a vote
2) Stop supporting any further bloating of the natl debt by NOT...
