What is the Political Courage Test?
This candidate has responded to a Political Courage Test in a previous election. As a continued effort to provide the American public with factual information on candidates running for public office, these archived responses are made available here.

Congressional Election 2006 National Political Awareness Test

The Political Courage Test asks candidates which items they will support if elected. It does not ask them to indicate which items they will oppose. Through extensive research of public polling data, we discovered that voters are more concerned with what candidates would support when elected to office, not what they oppose. If a candidate does not select a response to any part or all of any question, it does not necessarily indicate that the candidate is opposed to that particular item.

The U.S. should stay in Iraq until such time as the Iraqi Gov't. & military can defend and protect the citizens and visitors from enemies foreign and domestic. Iraq cannot be used as a permenant base of operations for terrorist organizations. The Iraqi people deserve a secure & free Iraq
The Iraqi Gov't must be able to protect & defend the rights & liberties of it's people. And the Coalition must stay until such time as the Gov't of Iraq can do so.
All diplomatic & economic efforts must be attempted before the use of force is entertained: however; North Korea should not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.
As it is clear to me that the U.N. has NOT performed its stated duties effectively, I cannot justify giving that body any additional funding. In fact it has peformed so poorly that the U.S. Gov't should consider decreased funding until such time as there is a notable improvement in U.N. function
Funding should be reviewed and analyzed for results before committing additional funds. However, this does not mean that I favor a decrease in current funding levels at this time
