Pro-lifeCandidate AnswerDo you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Other or expanded principles

Abortion should be available for those women who chose it up to three months pregnant, but there should be equal federal funding for adoption, and the same facility providing abortions should offer adoption first,
and adoption should be free for low income couples seeking a baby because they can't have their own.

NoIn order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
YesCandidate AnswerIn order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Other or expanded principles

I believe in having the same tax percentage of total income for the wealthy as for the poor, for example, 1% of billions of dollars from a wealthy person's income for defense, or 1% of $10,000. from a poor person.

YesDo you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Other or expanded principles

When a union only considers Democrats and Republicans, and will not consider endorsing independent or minor party candidates, then it should not be allowed to force employees to pay union dues because then an employee who favors a minor party or independent candidate is forced through union dues to support a major party candidate.

NoDo you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
YesDo you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?
NoCandidate AnswerDo you support mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenders?
Other or expanded principles

Make Marijuana Legal!

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
NoDo you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
Other or expanded principles

We need to make a public work project and stop dumping treated sewage into great lakes and Lake Champlain, and re-route the treated sewage to farms and factories.

NoInferred Answer Do you generally support requiring states to adopt federal education standards? View Citations
  • Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants? “No” http://votesmart.org/candidate/political-courage-test/51041/cris-ericson/ (votesmart.org)

Other or expanded principles

I believe certified teachers should be allowed the option to "home school" children in their home, just like parents are allowed to home school their children. Parents should be allowed to chose from a list of certified teachers who would like to home school about a half dozen children in the teachers' home, and get paid the same teachers salary, or paid by the student the amount the state claims that each child costs to educate.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you support building the Keystone XL pipeline?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
NoDo you support increased regulations on the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") industry?
Other or expanded principles

People think solar farms are ugly but they could be made into major tourist attractions. Just use part of the electricity generated from the solar farm and create holographic hologram images dancing above the black solar panels, in colors, and with sound. Then set up ice cream stands and hot coffee stands with picnic tables so people can have a snack and watch the holographic hologram images show. The property owner should make more money from selling snacks than the cost of electricity used to make hologram holographic dancing images and sound above the black solar panels.

YesDo you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
YesCandidate AnswerDo you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Other or expanded principles

Automobile and truck emissions are probably worse pollutants than "greenhouse gas". Gases come from perma frost, volcanoes, etc. Solar flares heat the earth and we can not control the sun. Our number one problem is how we treat drinking water. We must stop dumping treated sewage into lakes. We must out law motor boats in fresh water lakes. We must put a limit on persons per square foot living in cities. Tall sky scrapers are killing the planet by allowing over population of an area. We have to spread out. Cities were a great idea before the internet; no longer.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you generally support gun-control legislation?
Other or expanded principles

The U.S. Constitution is your gun permit if you are a citizen of the United States of America.
All state gun laws should be repealed because they are in violation of the U.S. Constitution 2nd Amendment. Think of it this way, it wouldn't bother you that much if people all chose to carry
concealed, like men carry their private parts concealed in the bathing suits or pants. Having people
ready and prepared with a concealed weapon could save a lot of lives in an emergency when a shooter goes wild, and could be stopped dead in his tracks right away.

NoCandidate AnswerDo you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Other or expanded principles

I believe we should have a tax, such as 2% on everyone, which would mean a lot more money from rich people and less from low income people struggling to afford Obamacare. The 2% tax would pay for government run hospitals, clinics, medical school in the hospitals for doctors, medical school in the hospital for nurses, and medical clinics set up in public schools. We must demand our share of the Patents on all prescription drugs invented using taxpayer dollars under Patent work made for hire laws: taxpayers paid for the research, we should own the Patents on Rx drugs.

YesInferred Answer Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? View Citations
  • Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? “Yes” http://votesmart.org/candidate/political-courage-test/51041/cris-ericson/ (votesmart.org)
  • “Millions of illegal aliens are taking our country. You would be surprised how well many of the gangs in big cities are armed, and how many are undocumented aliens from foreign countries. “ http://votesmart.org/public-statement/918953/issue-position-gangs-and-guns#.V3bu3nVTQfI (votesmart.org)
Other or expanded principles

I believe that we have somewhere around ten million illegal aliens who have come to love this country, and we need to close the doors now, we need to stop all immigration entirely until we house the homeless in the United States. It falls under "attractive nuisance" insurance laws: you build a swimming pool and no fence and your neighbor kid gets in and gets hurt, you are liable because you created an attractive nuisance. A "fence" can be small drones doing surveillance, with teams of national guard meeting the illegal aliens as they try to enter our country.

YesCandidate AnswerDo you support same-sex marriage?
Other or expanded principles
NoInferred Answer Do you support increased American intervention in Iraq and Syria beyond air support? View Citations
  • Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict? “No” http://votesmart.org/candidate/political-courage-test/51041/cris-ericson/ (votesmart.org)
YesShould the U.S use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the United States from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Other or expanded principles

A suspected terrorist is innocent until proven guilty, and may never be proven guilty. We have a legal system and a military system with leaders dripping blood from their teeth like pitt bulls.
