We should end the welfare system by providing jobs for everyone willing and able to work. If the private sector of the economy does not provide full employment then the government needs to provide government jobs.

We have a choice; we can have better schools, roads, and health care or we can have a few people living in multimillion dollar homes. The federal tax system is generally fair to lower income groups but it is not progressive enough. We need to tax higher income groups more in order to bring the Federal Budget more into balance and allow for increased federal spending on education and roads.

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.

Education, energy conservation, and the switch to renewable energy sources are my top priorities. We need to cut spending on new weapons programs and we need to bring almost all our troops home. Cutting military spending could provide the money for needed domestic education and energy programs.
