  • "Recently, Pete Sessions introduced a resolution to authorize the speaker of the House to file a lawsuit against the President. This lawsuit is a political stunt. Although Sessions claims this lawsuit is not about partisan politics, it is political theater and a farce of the highest order.Sessions claims the lawsuit is needed because the President is "failing to faithfully execute the Affordable Care Act." In other words, Sessions and his fellow Republicans want to sue the President to get him to "faithfully execute" Obamacare--a law they have voted 50+ times to overturn! How much sense does that make?Sessions wants to sue the President in order to force him to enforce a law that Sessions believes should not be enforced. In fact, Sessions has repeatedly voted to repeal the law he allegedly wants President Obama to enforce. So, he is going to further clog up the federal court system to try to get the President to do something he doesn't even want done. The bottom line: he wants to force the President to enforce a law he wants repealed. If this sounds contradictory and convoluted, it's because it is contradictory and convoluted. Although Sessions tries to frame this lawsuit as a matter of constitutional principle, invoking the founding fathers, threats to our liberty, and separation of powers, in reality, at its core it's a frivolous lawsuit, plain and simple." • "I would strongly support legislation that allows immigrants who have been here since they were children, are in school or have graduated from school, are in the military or have served in the military, and have no criminal record to apply for legal status." (www.frankperez4congress.com)

  • What changes, if any, would you support to the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid programs and why?I do not support any changes to these programs. Social Security is an important source of retirement funds for many Americans who depend on these benefits for survival. They planned their future taking these benefits into consideration, had Social Security taxes withheld from their incomes, and are entitled to these benefits.Although Medicare and Medicaid are large and costly programs, they do serve a useful purpose. While I do not have any specific changes I would support at this time, I do believe that the programs should be run more efficiently." (www.frankperez4congress.com)
