Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I believe that life begins at conception.
Yes Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
I believe that there should be a timetable, but, it should be kept confidential and that information should not be made public and available to the enemy.

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

No do you support reducing defense spending?
No do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
No do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
We must adequately fund the Defense Budget to keep our Country safe from the threat of terror and to properly equip and support our troops. No tax increase in any bracket; Americans are already taxed too much Medicaid is a failed program. It needs to be reformed. Throwing more taxpayer money at the program will not make it any better. Seniors have earned their Medicare benefits. There should not be any reduction to spending or benefits. Congress must pass a budget. I support a Balanced Budget Amendment.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Regulation of these contributions is against the First Amendment.
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
The Stimulus Bill promised to provide jobs and cure our economy. It did neither. Throwing Federal dollars (our tax dollars) at the problem will not solve it. Any business that creates additional jobs should be rewarded with an reasonable incentive. Public programs are usually ineffective. There should be a reduction in regulations and taxes placed on small businesses. With less overhead, these businesses will begin to hire again and good jobs will be created. The private sector creates real jobs, not the government. Unemployment benefits have already been extended a number of times. The Bush tax cuts should become permanent.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
I don't believe that the Federal Government should be in the education business. I believe this to be a state issue and better results can be achieved at the local level without Federal interference. Parents and local school leaders should make the decisions on the education provided to their children; not bureaucrats in Washington. The Department of Education should be eliminated and control returned to the states - at a tremendous savings to the taxpayer.
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
Increasing offshore energy production will help the economy and create jobs.
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
These regulations are hurting businesses, causing them added expense to comply and result in a reduction in jobs.
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
Guns are not the problem. Americans have owned guns since the Revolution and have been responsible in their use. In my opinion, the problem causing many of the tragic events in recent years, is the amount of violence that children are introduced to at a very early age. The central theme of most movies and TV shows anymore is violence and lawlessness. Additionally, video games that children play are filled with violence and killing. What can be expected when children are surrounded by nothing but violence in their formative years? Background checks should be mandatory for anyone purchasing a gun.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Obamacare must be repealed in its entirety. However, there are elements of our Healthcare system that need to be addressed; e.g. pre-existing conditions; keeping children on their parents policies until age 26; and, no cap on lifetime benefits. These individual issues can be dealt with, without dismantling the best healthcare system in the world. The government does not have the right to require Americans to purchase anything.
Yes Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
The United States has had an immigration policy in place for generations. Our families came to America and followed the laws that were in place and became citizens through the legally established process. Any immigrant who wishes to become a citizen now needs to follow the same rules. No shortcuts. While we welcome any immigrant, who wishes to come to our great Country to share our Freedoms, we simply ask that they do so legally. Breaking the law to enter our Country is not a good way to begin the process.
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
I believe in traditional marraige. That is my belief and I am entitled to it. I don't want to be told that I have to accept another view on this issue by government, and that I should alter my position. I have a Constitutional right to my belief.
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Iran must be stopped at all costs from developing and possessing a nuclear weapon. A nuclear Iran would be a threat to the entire world, especially America. We know that Iran would stop at nothing to destroy our country. If Iran develops the weapon, it certainly has the desire to destroy us and we must prevent that, whether through a pre-emptive strike or whatever other action would prove most effective. We can no longer sit back and talk "sanctions" - we must take action.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
In some cases these investments will provide a better financial outcome.

My top priorities when elected: 1. To fulfill my oath of office - that I will support and defend (and obey) the Constitution of the U.S. 2. Fully repeal Obamacare (PPACA) 3. Repeal the Obama Administration initiated regulations and mandates that are preventing businesses from hiring and are preventing America from becoming energy independent (developing American energy sources and increase domestic energy production) and energy self-sufficient. This action will result in reducing unemployment and jump starting our economy.
