| On Tax Relief- North Dakota has an unforeseen amount of money this upcoming legislative session. Every penny of the $1.6 billion surplus is practically accounted for. I want to give back as much as possible to the taxpayer. Chief among this is property tax. I advocate that the first $100,000 of private property be exempt from taxation, among other ideas. Education- I also want to place tuition increases at the helm of the legislature, because schools often use it as a bargaining tool for budget increases. Abortion- I would also like to see through a 20 week abortion ban. |
