School Finance will once again be at the forefront. It will be a high priority that we continue to provide the necessary resources to fund schools adequately. The majority of the state's general fund is dedicated to education. I believe that the current formula for distribution of those funds will need to be revisited which could spark heated debate between large urban districts and smaller rural districts. It will be imperative that rural legislator's work together to gather the needed support for our schools. I will work to keep the Rural Legislator Caucus active to address this issue.
