I am against Roe V Wade as bad law and want it reversed. Even more so, it's foundation Griswald v Connecticut must be reversed. I am not strictly prolife. Though I ould forbid the crossing of state lines by a minor to have an abortion.

Yes 3) Do you support the elimination of the federal estate tax?
Yes 4) Do you support requiring the federal budget to be balanced each year?
No 5) Do you support using government funds in an effort to stimulate and improve the economy?
Any area that exist to promote "change" should be eliminated. Research and development is almost completely a privater concern except with the military, where innovations can be used in the private sector. All cash transfers to businesses need to be stopped. Welfare should be completely a state matter and the Federal government needs to get out.
Low income pay such a low real rate now it is hard to reduce it. I want to reduce rates. Along with cutting the budget I think they can be reduced dramatically. I would introduce a law that would require that tax rates be reduced by half of what the previous year's surplus was until we reach a flat tax of about 10%
The budget should be balanced except in times of declared war, except in the current War on Terror, which is more like the Cold War in duration. I would like to repeal the 16th Amendment and replacing it with a universal unitary tariff and excise tax.
Yes a) Do you support privatizing elements of Social Security?
Yes b) Do you support reducing government regulations on the private sector?
No c) Do you support increasing the federal minimum wage?
Yes d) Do you support the ability of workers to unionize?
No e) Do you support federal funding for job-training programs that retrain displaced workers?
Employers and states are perfectly capable of training workers. Adult ed was actually started by business. I support eventually eliminating the minimum wage to help our teenagers. As for unions, I support the w=right of anybody to form associations to better themselves. I am against card check and think monopoly laws should be applied to unions.
Yes a) Do you support increasing the amount individuals are permitted to contribute to federal campaigns?
No b) Should Congress regulate indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes c) Do you support removing all contribution limits on federal campaigns?
No d) Should candidates for federal office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits?
No e) Do you support giving the President the power of the line item veto for items concerning appropriations?
No f) Do you support limiting the President's ability to define how legislation is applied through the use of signing statements?
If a president thinks a portion of the law in unConstitutional he should veto it. A line item veto will lead to more shananigans, not less.
Yes a) Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes b) Do you support programs that provide prison inmates with vocational and job-related training and job-placement assistance when released?
Yes c) Do you support programs that provide prison inmates with substance abuse treatment?
Yes d) Do you support reduced prison sentences for non-violent offenders?
No e) Do you support mandatory prison sentences for selling illegal drugs?
I believe that in areas of theft and such, people should be forced to make double reparations (including Bernie Madoff) with probation until the debt is paid. I wonder whether the federal government has the legal right to regulate drugs. That should be left to the states. the frederal government should focus on drug import and crossing state lines.
No a) Do you support federal education standards and testing requirements for K-12 students?
No b) Do you support federal funding for universal pre-K programs?
No c) Do you support federal funding for charter schools?
No d) Do you support federal funding for K-12 school vouchers?
No e) Do you support the federal government providing college students with financial aid?
The federal government needs to get out of education funding entirely, including IDEA (Special Ed). I lie the idea of vouchers and charter schools. There are other ways to champion them other than trough federal funding.
No a) Do you support enacting environmental regulations aimed at reducing the effects of climate change?
No b) Do you support international emissions targets aimed at reducing the effects of climate change?
No c) Do you support allowing energy producers to trade carbon credits under a "cap and trade" system?
No d) Do you support strengthening fuel efficiency standards on all gasoline and diesel-powered engines, including cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles?
Yes e) Do you support domestic oil exploration in federally-protected areas?
No f) Do you support federal funding for the development of alternative energy?
Yes g) Do you support the development of nuclear reactors?
We need to simply regulations and taxes as well as reducing tax rates to allow capital to flow where there is the greatest return, thus encouraging innovation and efficiency. There is no scientific evidence that human actively is causing climate change. Most of this is pushed by the Alternative Energy Lobby so they can take a greater share of my tax dollars. and CAFE standards only make cars more expensive and out of reach for more people. Yucca Mountain must be open. I am against any form of subsidy for the building of nuclear reactors.
No a) Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
Yes b) Do you believe that the Second Amendment guarantees the right of individual citizens to own guns?
Yes c) Do you support allowing individuals to carry concealed guns?
No d) Do you support a ban on assault rifles?
As Thomas Jefferson pointed in his letter commenting on Shay's Rebellion, a well armed citizenry is a check on the usurpation by government. Also, the courts have recognized that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right. Lastly, studies have shown over and over that where concealed weapons are allowed, crime goes down.
No a) Do you support a publicly-administered health insurance option?
Yes b) Do you support expanding access to health care through commercial health insurance reform?
Yes c) Should the federal government expand eligibility for tax-free medical savings accounts?
Yes d) Do you support monetary limits on damages that can be collected in malpractice lawsuits?
No e) Do you support relaxing regulations on the importation of prescription drugs?
Re: re-importation. We should file a WTC complaint against these countries for selling US medications at below market costs. Also, because off price controls these countries don't have enough medications for their own citizens. Health Care is a state affair and it should be left to them to address this issue. Also, we should go through every federal health care regulation and eliminate those that are harmful to commerce or clearly unConstitutional. Medcare needs reform and Medicad should be eliminated with the states taking sole responsibility for their poor.
No a) Do you support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants?
Yes b) Do you support decreasing the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country?
Yes c) Do you support establishing English as the official national language?
Yes d) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
The # of immigrants allowed should be directly related to employment rates. We should also eliminate those policies that encourage anchor babies so at least those that don't come here to work would be no longer come.
Yes a) Do you support United States military action in Afghanistan?
Yes b) Do you support increasing military assistance for Afghanistan?
Yes c) Do you support increasing economic development assistance for Afghanistan?
Yes d) Should the United States continue to strike suspected terrorist targets in Pakistan?
Yes e) Do you support granting aid to countries when it is in the security interests of the United States?
Yes f) Should the United States support the creation of a Palestinian state?
Yes g) Do you support increasing sanctions on Iran if it continues to defy United Nations mandates?
No h) Do you support the withdrawal of United States troops from Iraq?
Yes i) Do you support the United States' involvement in free trade agreements?
We cannot afford to be in Afghanistan in perpetuity. Wars are inherently inflationary and it is causing tremendous strain. It is unfortunate that the war was waged incompetently for years and so has cost us hundreds of billions more that it should. If we are rally interested in improving economic conditions for people around the world, we should pursue free trade.
Yes a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
No b) Do you support allowing openly-gay men and women to serve in the United States military?
No c) Do you support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research?
Yes d) Should the federal government end affirmative action programs?
There are plenty of private funds that can be used for medical research. Marriage has always been between a man and a woman , there is no reason to deny biological and cultural realities.
My first priority is to balance the budget through spending cuts without gimmicks in 2 years. This means no off the books borrowing from Social Security and government pensions. This also would include Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid reform (in part by giving people multiple options). The second is to reign in the Federal Reserve by forcing it to defend the dollar and not government fiscal policy. This would be done by requiring then to keep the dollar between $350-$450 and ounce of gold. They would have 6 months to start changing interest rates accordingly.
