No | g) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for abortion procedures?
No | h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
I support Roe v. Wade as the settled law of the US and will focus my public service in areas other than the issue of abortion. I support reforming our adoption laws to create better alternatives to abortion. I support measures to reduce unplanned pregnanices and thus reduce the number of abortions. I believe that a person's church, faith, family and personal morality are more appropriate to this issue than any role of government. In appropriate circumstances, parental notification and consent can be provided by judicial determination, such as when a child is a victim of incest. |

Growth of our economy, and resulting increased tax revenues, is the best solution. I proposed more than $130 million of new, non-tax increase revenues in the last budget and we can acheive fiscal stability by using ALL the toolsin our fiscal toolbox. Pension reform for new employees is key, but current workers who are vested in the pension system should receive the benefit of their bargain with the state. I support enhanced inherent management rights, but in the context of collective bargaining of the traditional topics of bargaining (wages, hours and working conditions). |

Show ID to vote should be a basic requirement, but not if it disenfranchises voters. I believe that other ID should also be acceptable in addition to government-issued photo ID. |

Yes | f) Do you support allowing for more judicial discretion in Massachusetts's "three strikes" law?
Yes | g) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
I disfavor decriminalization of marijuana because it increases demand from illicit sources. Instead, I think we need to legalize marijuana (likely starting with medicinal marijuana in view of the current federal prohibition) and then regulate it and tax it. Only be lawful production of marijuana will the cartels, crooks and drug dealers be put out of business in the US. |

I do not support the Common Core State Standards because Massachusetts had a more rigorous standard that we controlled and the national standard cedes our control and standards to other states where educational excellence has not be a consistent priority. |
