The reason I support increases in some areas is because once we get Arizona's budget deficit under control, the state may once again fund the areas needed. To solve our budget deficit, I would propose legislation to stop all state funding to illegal aliens. This legislation would essentially correct our skyrocketing budget deficit and would allow for increases in the areas above.

It has been proven time and again that lowering taxes (especially in a recession) promotes economic growth. Lowering taxes on both individuals and businesses will enable more of the money to stay in their pockets which, in turn, will lead to less layoffs for businesses and more buying power for individuals.

3) Budget Stabilization

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing Arizona's budget.

Noa) Issuing the early release of certain non-violent offenders
Nob) Increasing tuition rates at public universities
Noc) Instituting mandatory furloughs and layoffs for state employees
Nod) Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients
Yese) Privatizing certain government services
f) Other or expanded principles

To balance Arizona?s budget, we need to simply stop all state funding of illegal aliens. . Last year, Arizona spent approximately $2.7 billion on healthcare, education, and imprisonment costs for illegals. Arizona's average budget deficit last year was, believe it or not, approximately $2.7 billion meaning our budget deficit is in effect tied dollar to dollar to what we spend on illegals. Therefore, rather than increasing taxes or implementing layoffs for state workers, we need to stop rewarding lawbreakers and stop paying for illegal aliens.
