The DOD needs to stop the wasteful spending. The DOD needs to track every penny and pass an audit. We need to reform contract bidding.

I want to reform the entire taxation laws. It should be no more then 2 pages long with only three tax brackets. Approximately 46% of Americans do not pay income taxes. Everyone needs to contribute even if its a dollar or fifty cents.

We wont need Medicaid or Medicare if we all enter into the Federal Employees Health Benefits Insurance plans. You will have the same heath insurance that your U.S. Senator and Representative have.

Unions should not be allowed to use the union dues payed by the members to contribute to any campaign period. The members are made up of all political parties (Independents, Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Green, Constitutional and or no party affiliation at all). The dues should go to improve the members work place, wages and benefits not to campaigns.

Corporations are not people. The American citizen can not contribute in the amounts that a corporation can. Corporations campaign contributions buys them a seat at the table when our laws and regulations are being written behind closed doors. Corporate money equals power.

Limited and only for certain heinous crimes.

1. Federal spending for economic growth should be targeted and limited.
2. Small businesses and Manufacturing companies (that return to the U.S.) are the only ones that should get tax incentives. Not large corporations or banks.
3. Most Americans are not qualified to do construction work. The Electric and Gas companies (Ameren UE and Laclede Gas) the Water and Sewer companies should pay to rebuild the infrastructure. The American people pay enough money every month for them to provide and maintain these areas of our infrastructure. The federal government should help the States maintain the roads and bridges.

Education is a very complex area to legislate. Education should be decided by each State. Every State is different and the needs of children will be different. I believe that the Federal government should help fund education, but not mandate how each State and City teaches their children.

I do believe the current EPA has gone to far with the regulations they are mandating. Example mandating we can only buy compact fluorescent lamps with toxic mercury that his very dangerous to humans and our environment makes no since to me. When one breaks you have to call a company specializing in environmentally sound cleanups of the mercury inside the bulb. The cost of the clean up is estimated at $2,000.

We need to regulate using common sense!

We dont need to regulate to the point we lose our manufacturing base and jobs etc...

I support the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I support adding a gun safety course to be taught in all public and private schools. Children should be taught the proper use of a gun and gun safety. Rural children are taught at an early age to respect guns and their proper use. Rural accidental shootings by children are very rare.

No one will be denied insurance for a pre-existing medical diagnosis.

Insurance companies can't refuse to pay for services that your Doctor deems necessary.

There will be no comparative effectiveness research and value-based purchasing. (No government-picked committee will decide what you get, i.e. tests, medications, surgery, treatment etc.).

If the Federal government will not enforce our immigration laws then the States in my opinion have a right to protect their citizens.

The illegal aliens coming to our country are breaking many laws with the blessings of our Federal Government.

Our prisons are full of American women spending years in prison for breaking laws. Such as writing bad checks or stealing to feed and support their children.

Illegals aliens are treated better then Americans who break laws of a lesser crime. Thats unjust to Americans.

In my opinion the Federal Government has no constitutional right or mandate to govern marriage at all. Be it between a man and a women or marriage of the same sex.
As your U.S. Representative I have no right to tell any of you who you can love or who you shouldn't love and marry. The government has no business in this very sacred and personal event in your life.

Only as a last resorts. If the "leaked" cyber attacks don't stop the Iranians nuclear weapons program then we must use everything in our tool box including our military to stop them.

Before I would support this question I will need to read and study the actual legislation as written before I would vote on it. I also would hold town halls and ask my constituents how they wanted me to vote.

I would give huge tax breaks to Manufacturing Companies that returned back to the U.S. and hired Americans to work in the manufacturing plant. I will work very hard to get them to set up in Congressional District 01 Missouri.

We must bring back our manufacturing base! No country can possibly survive without making its own goods. We are held captive, with our hands tied behind our backs, to depending upon foreign countries (ie. China who is predicted to be the super power by the year 2016... not the United States) for our livelihood. These foreign countries don't have the people's best interests at heart.
