What is the Political Courage Test?

Texas Congressional Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I am a firm believer that morality cannot be legislated. It stats in the home, school, and community. It is through sound economic policies that we promote a true commitment to defending all life, no matter how young (abortion) or how old (euthanasia). The only case where I support "choice" is in cases of rape or incest.
No Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

No do you support reducing defense spending?
Yes do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
No do you support reducing Medicare spending?
No Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
End the Wall St. and Euro bailouts by reinstating Glass-Steagall and a national banking system. We must create a world of fixed exchange rates, tariffs, and regulated federal credit that only goes to productive industrial and infrastructure projects. We should never try to pay for industrial progress by taxing the population to death, or pushing austerity to pay for investment.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
The best way to give tax relief is to put more people to work, so there are more taxpayers and individual obligations can be reduced.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
I favor repealing Bush's No Child Left Behind and also Obama's Race to the Top. Outcome based testing is a proven failure.
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
We must shift from petroleum to the superior fuel of nuclear fission/fusion, as our primary energy and electricity source. No "green" energy like wind or solar. We must research and develop matter antimatter energy, and other space-based fuels like Helium-3.
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Planetary stewardship comes from the mastery of the physical laws of nature, and applying them through technological improvements in infrastructure and industry. Environmentalism as an ideology is a genocidal policy of depopulation, as stated explicitly by the British Royal Society and the German WBGU institute. To develop the biosphere in harmony with society, we must develop our scientific understanding of the galactic and solar environments our Earth is moving through.
Yes Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
I support the "Brady Bill", and not allowing guns on school campuses, but otherwise people should be free to buy and carry in accordance with the 2nd amendment of the Bill of rights.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
I support a universal single payer, modeled on the Hill-Burton Act.
No Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
I see no reason to legislate this, but I don't think the federal government should interfere in people's personal relations. Leave it up to the states.
No Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
No Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Repeal section 1024 of the NDAA, repeal the Patriot Act, end the warrantless wiretapping, close the secret prisons. All wars (as in Libya) must be approved by Congress, no using drones to assassinate U.S. citizens without due process.
No Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
No privatization of Social Security!

Don't use a cut in the payroll tax to undermine the funding of social security.
If by some reason Obama is not impeached before my election, I support his immediate impeachment. Otherwise, I support the immediate reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act, to end the bailouts of Wall Street and Europe while protecting commercial banking assets. We need to replace the Federal Reserve with a National Banking system, beholden to the Constitution, so credit is issued ONLY for productive scientific, industrial, and cultural projects, such as full funding for NASA, and the North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA XXI), a continental flood/drought management system to employ 5.5 million people in science, technology, engineering, and math.
