I am pro-choice. This is a very difficult issue where many people disagree but we should all agree on supporting policies that are proven to reduce unintended pregnancies.

The simple fact is we need more revenue to fund our priorities. Balancing the budget on the backs of our state employees or the poor is unconscionable and I will never do that. I'm committed to treating our state employees like public servants that are performing a public good.

It's the Wild West in Virginia when it comes to political spending and I support limits (any limits) on campaign contributions to eliminate the ability of corporations and individuals to buy government.

I also support states who choose not to participate in Common Core (like Virginia) if they have standards that will indicate if students are prepared for higher education. I strongly support higher pay/retirement for our teachers because I believe there is a direct correlation to high performance.

I support an "all of the above" strategy "IF" we invest as much in renewable energy as we do traditional energy sources. Without a doubt, future energy sources will come from renewables and we need to send a clear signal to the markets that Virginia understands this and is trending away from traditional sources like coal and investing heavily in renewable energy sources (wind, solar, water). I will not support continuing taxpayer corporate incentives toward energy sources that do not create jobs. No more corporate welfare, period.
