Favorite President and Why:

Thomas Jefferson - I find it illuminating that he was a slave owner who wrote against slavery. My motto is "embrace the hypocrisy". The world would be a far different place if I ran it but I don't and I am forced, just like you, to do the best I can with the cards I am dealt.

Favorite Quote:

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man. (George Bernard Shaw)

Favorite TV Shows:

I do not watch much TV at all (maybe two or three documentaries a month) but when I watched a lot more, I was partial to Monty Python's Flying Circus and Kid in the Hall.

I really don't take many vacations but when I have a waterfall and good biking roads/trails are the most important ingredients.

1982 White Buick Skyhawk left to me by my grandmother.

Name one thing you would most like to do before you die:

Get elected to congress and represent the working class.

Personal Hero and Why:

Ralph Nader. The most principled man in America. The DNC and it's insidious spoiler propaganda is a lie. The Democrats and the corporate media have wronged one of the greatest men to live in our time and they need to be made to answer for it. Ten MILLION Democrats voted for George Bush in 2000 and they scapegoated Nader and the Greens over 565 votes ion Florida. This is perhaps the thing that has most radicalized me. No war party owns my vote or yours and to suggest they do and to allow them to get away with this scurrilous and disingenuous and bitter and mathematically-challenged "spoiler" nonsense is a primary focus of mine. We all have the right to vote our conscience and, increasingly, as Ralph predicted, voting "lesser evil" just gets us one thing ... evil.

Ralph Nader for his bravery and his honesty. He is a friend and has not only endorsed my campaign and helped us raise money by appearing on the campaign trail with us, he has also directly donated which is a definite first for him. I am very proud of that. My opponents have been endorsed by Bowser (of Sha Na Na) and the GOP (Karl Rove and Paul Ryan).

Priority Issues:

Single-Payer Health Care
Peace (cut military spending sharply and eliminate 400 of our 800 bases)
Living Wage ($15 / hour set to increase with worker productivity)
End Corporate Welfare
Green New Deal - Full employment for everyone
Free College and Student Loan Forgiveness
End Corporate Ag Subsidies

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

To ensure that the working class finally has a seat at the congressional table. There is nothing inherently wrong with corporate-sponsored millionaires, I suppose, but since 96% of us are not corporate-sponsored millionaires, shouldn't Congress reflect that as a representative body? I would be the first in recent history.

To represent the working class. 100% of our current representatives are millionaires and paid corporate lobbyists serving their corporate masters. Time to include some workers to at table. Don't you agree?!
