Priority Issues:
Education: Utah ranks last in funding K-12 education. The teachers are the lowest paid in the nation and the classrooms are over crowded. The youth are the future oour nation. For our nation to succeed the youth need to have better education.
Environment: The air quality in Utah has seen an increasing number of days where the air quality in NOrther Utah is worse than any other region in the nation. We need to improve our rapid transit system and generate more renewable energy resources.
Economy: The fossil fuel prices continue to rise affecting every aspect of our economy. Utah relies on tourism to help fund our economy. Fewer people will travel with the high cost of fuel. The expensive fuel costs are also driving up the cost of groceries to the point that people are making a choice to park their vihicles in order to pay for groceries.
